Description: The only planet of this type ever discovered.
This “cluster-planet” is made up of 5 individual nano-planets which collide with, revolve around and press against each other in continuous unrest. This ever moving ‘core’ creates an extreme, unpredictable atmosphere. Exploration is incredibly dangerous and no identified living organism has been able to enter the atmosphere or indeed survive its harsh conditions. The “cluster-planet's” five cores are each thought to contain large quantities of metals, including types similar to and including nickel, copper and iron - making some areas of the surface superconductive. Magnetic activity is thought to be the cause of the clusters erratic movements. On the surface, each planet in this cluster appears to differ quite substantially from the next - though it is predicted that erosion and destruction through constant movement and the ‘grinding’ of surface to surface contact could mean that these diverse landscapes are under threat and life, if it does exist in these harsh conditions, to disappear. Prone to extreme weather conditions, including frequent and intense electrical storms, tornadoes, fire storms, harsh winds and atmospheric rain, Vaskuylia is a danger to humans and has claimed many lives though unsuccessful exploration attempts. This cluster of planets and their constant movement cause the atmosphere to resemble that of a gas giant. This atmosphere is filled with ‘debris’ and varying levels of chemical elements. Helium, hydrogen, neon and oxygen have all been detected. Not much more is known about this planet, its atmosphere or its origins. |
